Install
Fold is a native macOS app — a signed, notarized .app shipped in a .dmg. No login, no cloud, no browser engine.

There is no Intel build.
Homebrew
That taps samiabi/fold and installs the current release into /Applications. The cask points at the signed, notarized build, so macOS opens it without a Gatekeeper prompt.
The .dmg
Download the latest Fold.dmg from the releases, open it and drag Fold to Applications.
Updates
Fold keeps itself current from the same release channel, on by default: a newer signed build downloads in the background, is verified against Fold's signing identity, and installs when you quit or relaunch. The gear's settings sheet is the toggle. brew upgrade --cask fold works either way.
First launch
Fold opens on the welcome page. Pick a folder (⌘O) or clone a repository (⌘⇧C), and a shell is running in it. Then read Getting started.
